Photo (jpeg)   Steve Short, CPA Senior Vice President Chief Financial Officer   Biography Steve Short is responsible for enterprise financial activities for Arkansas Blue Cross, HMO Partners, Inc. and USAble Corporation, which includes Financial Services, Risk Management and Internal Control and Reporting. Short joined Arkansas Blue Cross in 1987. He also serves as treasurer of Arkansas Blue Cross, HMO Partners, the Blue & You Foundation, Inc. and as secretary/treasurer of USAble Corporation. Short received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and completed his accounting education at Illinois State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Fellow in the Life Management Institute (FLMI) and member of the American Society of Chartered Life Underwriters. Short recently served on the board of directors of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Society, Inc., where he was chairman of the Finance Committee and a member of the Executive Committee. He also served on the board of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Foundation.
